It is unusual for manganese to be deficient in the diets of horses as it is abundant in grass, hay, haylage and cereals.Where our forage analysis reports low levels of manganese, particularly for young and growing horses, supplementation will be necessary.Bioplex manganese for horses is a highly absorbable mineral source of horse manganese providing 15% elemental manganese without fillers or additives.What will manganese do for my horse?Manganese is very important for the correct formation of chondroitin sulfate, which is a key component of cartilage. It is also an important mineral to support the development of strong bones.Manganese is also part of the superoxide dismutase, which is an antioxidant enzyme that helps to protect cells from oxidative stress, ensuring tissues are kept healthy.Ingredients100% Bioplex Manganese (manganese proteinate) – 15% elemental manganeseFeed Rates Rates for supplementation will vary according to amounts contained with grass, hay or haylage. Lactating horses, pregnant horses, young horses and horses in moderate to heavy work will all need higher levels.   1 x 5ml scoop = approx 2.5 grams of Manganese = 377mg of Elemental Manganese.
